Hale Hockey Club is hosting a one day social hockey competition called the Occupational Challenge at Hale.
this information is also on Hockey WA website at www.hockeywa.org.au under “Events”
This is a great opportunity to meet other people in the hockey community in Perth and it is open to all hockey players in Perth and the country regardless of which club you have registered with for 2013.
It will be held on 6 April 2013 with games starting from 8am.
The cost is $15 per player for the day.
The teams are Under 35s mixed and Over 35s mixed.
The Occupations include
Accounting and Finance
Construction and Trades
Engineering and Mining
Farmers and Country
FESA and Police
Government and Public Service
IT and Communications
Medical, Health and Vets
Retail and Tourism
Teachers and Education
We are aiming to have 22 teams play four games
There will be a final for the top 2 teams from each division.
Games will start at 8am and will be two 25 minute halves with a 5 minute break.
There will be food and drink available for sale and there will be a BBQ and trophy presentation after the last game at 6pm.
Teams should have a minimum of 5 women in a team.
There will be no hitting the ball by men – only pushing and neither team can hit in the attacking D (summer safety rules because we want everyone fit and well for the season)
You can register your name or a team and there is scope for spouses and friends to play in a team to make up numbers or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We need to know numbers by Wednesday 3rd April.
Come down, have some fun while we find out which Occupation make the best hockey players.
