Game Report
Rockingham Redbacks 6 Def Fremantle 0

By PJ

The U15 girls played Fremantle and had a convincing 6 - 0 win followed by the U17 girls who won 12 - 0 against Hale.

The U15 girls were part of history in being the first team ever to play on the turf. Graeme Creedon is to be noted for having umpired the first grass game at Lark hill as well as the first turf game. Unfortunately I didn't get a team photo of the u15 girls however the photos show them running out. The coin used for the coin toss was a $1, 2008 coin which was used for all turf games and will form part of the club memorabilia.

Game 1 Report
Rockingham Redbacks 7 Fremantle 0

By Lauren Muir and Tiana Allen

On Sunday the 4th May the Rockingham under 15 girl’s metro team travelled to Perth Hockey Stadium to verse Fremantle black. In the first half of the game two goals were scored one by Lara Frater and the other by Ashlee Woods the opposition still hadn’t landed a goal. The girls came off the ground at half ime, tired but pleased with their efforts. After a quick pep talk by their coach Matt East, the girls returned to the field eager to bring home a win for Rocky. The girls played a brilliant second half with the next five goals scored by Tiana Allen Jennifer Hind, Lara Frater and Stephanie Glenister scoring the remaining two. The overall score was Rockingham seven and due to the excellent attacking a defensive players we kept Fremantle’s score to nil. We couldn’t have achieved this victory without all the girls’ ard work and determination.
